The time has come for a more responsible approach to business. The effect that industry and our endeavors as humans have had on the environment is painfully obvious as we approach the third decade of the 21st Century.
As such, here at Musturf, we are doing our part to try and reduce the carbon footprint and contribute to the recovery of the environment by growing, selling, installing, and maintaining natural turf grasses.

Read on for some handy tips for installing your new turf.
How to Install Your New Turf
Firstly, you need to ensure you have properly prepared the soil before you install your new turf. Properly prepared soil will mean that your turf can become well-established and will thrive in the future.
You need to make sure that you are putting your new turf onto a smooth, leveled area; use a spirit level to check that your ground is level.
Using a heavy roller will make sure the soil is compact and ready to take on the roots from your turf.
Before you lay your new turf, you need to ensure that the soil is wet. You need to be ready to lay your new turf as soon as it arrives to avoid it drying out.
Starting with the edge, begin to lay your turf. For each roll, make sure that it is placed close to the one you have already laid so that there are no gaps. A key thing to remember is that the turf must always be in contact with the soil, or it will not be able to become established.
Use a straight edge, like a long piece of wood, and cut any overhang from your turf with a sharp knife to get the perfect edge for your lawn.
Once laid, you can use a heavy roller again to ensure the soil and turf are fully connected with one another.
Finally, make sure your new turf is watered. Water your new grass in the upcoming weeks to keep your new lawn healthy and allow it to establish its roots fully. Be careful not to let it dry out.
Avoid mowing your new lawn until it is fully established, which can be from as little as two weeks. It can take longer if the weather is cooler.
Enjoy seeing, playing, and sitting on your new turf!
